Stay at Home Mom Outfits Spring 2024
For the mom who wants comfort but a vibe
Here are some spring outfit inspos for the moms out there.
I don't know about you, but when I am both comfortable AND fresh and ready for my day, I magically become a better mom. If I'm fresh and ready but not comfortable, I don't feel like being a productive OR fun adventurous mom. But if I'm comfortable and look like a homeless person, I also don't want to be a productive or fun adventurous mom.
The key to feeling your best as a mom when it comes to style, is both comfort AND a vibe.
Below I have created a compilation of the two, just for you. We should be able to crawl under the play-structure to get our toddler when they refuse to leave the park without ripping our shorts in half. We also should be able to feel beautiful while doing so π
Scroll down to see 4 styles of mom-fits that will keep you comfy and a vibe. Every time.
Elevated Althleisure
Okay so hear me out. Make it workout clothes..but elevated. Sunglasses, cute tote, sandals, gold jewelry, and linen over-shirt. Top it off with a sleek bun to look like one of those cute pilates girls getting brunch with her friends that doesn't have kids yet. You'll be able to drop it like its hot when you need to pick a child up off the ground and feel comfortable doing so. Plenty of stretch, plenty of breathability, but also plenty of vibes.
The best part of these athleisure looks is you can mix and match colors, over shirts, and accessories. You really can't go wrong with neutral athleisure and you don't need to buy too. many pieces, especially when you are getting quality pieces. For this look the tote, jewelry and sunglasses are the same and are linked above! Here are the other links:
Matching Sets
I have a strong feeling the person who decided matching sets were "in" is a mom. Or at least someone who knows what moms want to wear. Matching sets are the ultimate comfort items you could possibly gather from your closet AND they are so cute!
Whether you're running errands, out on a walk, at the park or with friends- matching sets are the easiest go-to for your closet.
I love this beachy mom-vibe including a few Billabong pieces. This set is perfect to dress up or down, although I don't expect you to rock it with a bathing suit top and opened like the pic when you're at the park LOL. This top would be so cute buttoned halfway down and open at the bottom or tucked in on one side! You're gonna be so cute AND so comfy, which is mom goals.
Again, using the same accessories for this look to show that you can so easily mix and match your daily outfits! When you have great staples in your closet, you don't need an excess of clothes and accessories to love what you're wearing every day. Below I have the matching set linked. This one looks beautiful, flowy, comfortable, breathable and I'm obsessed with the color! Again, this one can be dressed up or down from a day at the park or a beach trip to a winery or date night in the summer!
Linen Pants
Linen pants are one of the best things that's ever happened to moms. The comfort and breathability is just unmatched. Plus, they're SO cute and can be dressed up or down. When you wear linen pants you can look like you are trying without trying- love that for us. Now keeping your light colored linen pants stain free, that's another feat. Worth the risk though π Plus, us moms know how to get rid of stains, let's be honest.
This look is ALSO a matching set but with linen pants, so it's a win-win π I looove these cotton-on pants and with the matching shirt, it's such an elevated look while keeping it comfy and easy. Pull that hair back in a slick low bun to complete this look, which is perfect for the day before hair wash day π The accessories are linked above that I used in other outfits ^
Dresses, dresses, dresses
Okay for real though..dresses are like a mom's superpower. You can have ultimate comfort and movement, while looking elegant and put-together. You can wear minimal or no makeup, a low bun or just air-dried hair and a dress just somehow makes you look like you tried. In fact, sometimes less is more with a dress!
I put together two different styles of dress and accessories to go with them. One is breathable and flow-y, the other is comfy and stretchy. One might be more for those days you feel bloated, though π
This skims dress is ALL the hype. There is not a single body type that doesn't look amazing in this! With the stretchy and comfy material, you can wear this lounging around the house, out and about with your kids, or even on date night! It's one of THE most versatile dresses. I've been eyeing this one forever!
This is just such a timeless look. Why not look absolutely stunning and yet put in minimal effort?! This is giving "Santa Barbara California beach mom" and I'm here for it. This linen dress from Free People is unreal and would be such a perfect spring fit for any kind of mom day you have ahead of you!
Ps- if you don't currently wear dresses as a mom, and you wish you did.. just START. You can change your entire "look" whenever you want! I personally am starting to branch out into wearing dresses and it's just so freeing! There's something about feeling feminine and pretty as a mom on a casual day.
In Conclusion
There are many many cute styles out there for Spring 2024. This post was all about the styles that I believe will be so comfortable on moms. Doing the least amount of effort for the best outcome is key when dressing as a mom π Whether you're rocking a daily athleisure outfit, or some linen pants, or a matching set, or a dress- you won't be disappointed.
You know that saying "you only feel as good as you look"? I feel like that is one of the keys to being a happy, motivated and confident mom. There is so much about motherhood that's taxing and wears on us. So it's that much more important that we are taking care of ourselves. When we take care of our outside, it flows into other areas of our lives as well. I always feel so much more ready and excited to go do something with my kids when I feel presentable. I also love outfits that are not only cute and in style, but comfortable and practical for my lifestyle as a mom.
Being a mom is kind of like being in a constant sport. You might be sprinting after a toddler, carrying ten bags at once, or wearing a baby on you for hours. Comfort is absolutely key when it comes to motherhood. However, I hope these outfits inspire you to see that comfort doesn't necessarily mean thwarting style.
I hope this spring you rock one of these looks! If you do, let me know in the comments π Happy spring, mamas!
From my home to yours,
Keri
